Will I be happy?

Will I be happy?
It’s a fair question to ask when I’m about to respond and I want to make sure I’m okay with how I answer
It’s also a good question to ask at the start of the day about how I’ll feel tomorrow, with how I lived today
Will I be happy?
Will I be happy with the text/ email/ voicemail, later?
When you get to the end of your life, will you be happy?
Goldie Hawn says, "I've come to believe that seeking happiness is not a frivolous pursuit. It's honorable and necessary. And most people forget even to think about it."
There’s so much coming at us, all the time
We live at such a fast pace and the speed of information that we take in, is staggering
I find myself before clicking on a headline asking, will I be happier after reading it?
Sometimes feeding your curiosity doesn’t feed your soul
And that’s where I want to live
At peace with my soul
Knowing that after each interaction I have
I will be happy
It’s not always easy
And sometimes people make it incredibly hard to be nice
To be honest, sometimes I’m that person
And that’s when I come back to the question
Will I be happy about?… you can fill in the blank for yourself
Because it’s a very good place to start
