Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo

One of my favorite quotes when I was my sickest is from Mary Anne Radmacher “Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow.”
It gave me permission to let the day just be and let me be, illness and all
It also gave me the power to think that tomorrow I would try again and it could be better
I found it to be a fantastic practice
I recently watched the 2015 Cinderella movie
I thought it was very entertaining
Ella is told to always have courage and be kind
It’s her touchstone
At the end, when she’s been let out of the attic and she’s going downstairs to try on the glass slipper
The narrator says something like, will she be enough as she is? This is the biggest risk, being seen as we are.
Is that true?
Do we need the most courage to just be ourselves?
Without the magic from a fairy godmother
To just be us
To show up as we are
What a challenge it is
To just be
We humans are always looking at the externals
We maneuver through the days wearing many hats and many masks
What are we afraid of?
Why do we do it?
Doubt
Insecurity
Jealousy
They are all connected with our inner saboteur
They are our own versions of the step mother and sisters
We all know our own faults perfectly
We eat the carbs and the cake
We say the wrong thing
Whatever they are for you, you already know
So what would happen if we were to forgive our faults?
Really just stopped the inner critic
Felt free to be who we already are
Let go of our judgments and commentaries
Our lives are a summation of our choices
Even things we don’t have a choice about we still choose how we react and respond
So, what if we all chose to have courage and to be kind
Yeah, that sounds like a great way to live happily ever after to me
