What’s your gift?

This year has been a lot
It has been hard and heavy
But, some good things have happened as well
Babies have been born
Families spent quality time together
We’ve all learned to slow down
We’ve also realized what we all took for granted
Each other
Hugs
Laughter
Singing at a concert
Church
Traveling
As the year comes to a close I invite you
To count your blessings
Really sit with what’s right in your life
What came out of this year that helped you?
Comforted you
Challenged you and made you better
What gift do you have now?
What talent or desire that has been latent is now ready to be shared with us?
We all have something we dream about
We all have our best selves, in our minds
What if that version came forward
Out of the shadows and into the light
What gift can you give?
Who can you help by sharing it?
Opening ourselves up can be daunting
Every week when I hit send on these, I hold my breath
But, I do it because I hope it helps someone
Is there something in you, that you’ve never acknowledged but always wanted to?
Let that out
Open it for us
Be that gift
Ram Dass says, “when we give ourselves into becoming fully who we are by doing fully what we do, we experience lightness, we are like kites in the wind, we are on the side of the angels, we are entering lightly.”
It’s almost Christmas and a perfect time to use your life, as a gift
