Fulfillment

What if your tombstone said, you’re welcome
What if you lived a life so generously
That everybody who knew you, felt grateful
What if your days were spent thinking about others
A small thing you could do
A note you could write
A book you could lend
A kid you could tutor
An elderly person you could shop for
How would it look if you spent your days doing little things for everyone around you, even the homeless man sitting on the corner
When you are fulfilled
You have all the energy you need, to do anything
You feel good
Satisfied
You are in the flow
You flourish here
But, what if your frustrated
Feeling lost and at loose ends
There is so much chaos right now
I feel more anxious now than I ever have
It’s been easy for me to trust my gut in the past
But now, it’s harder
My stomach feels like it’s in knots most of the time
So, I close my eyes and pray
I take deep breaths and say what is bothering me
What I’m afraid of
Then I say thank you for all that I have
All that’s been given to me
For the grace that surrounds me
I instantly feel better
Calmer
Grounded and centered
Then I reach for that feeling of fulfillment again
Because the energy from it is just so good
So don’t be afraid of fear
Close your eyes and list what you are grateful for
Trust that grace surrounds you
And go live your life like your tombstone will say...
You’re welcome
