New beginnings
Starting over
Can be seen as a negative
Something to dread
I think a lot of people are terrified of change
It’s why some spend every Sunday of their lives, sitting in the same pew at church
Its comfort and security
Sitting somewhere else, would feel strange
We like to know what’s happening
We like to pretend that we know how life will go
Truth is, we don’t even know what’s around the corner
What tomorrow will bring
What we can do, is be open to it all
I love trying anything new
I’m all about the adventure
I’m endlessly curious and I ask a lot of questions
Which I think makes me a great travel partner
I’m not sure Michael totally agrees
Moving here, away from my family was hard
Loneliness was something I’d never expected
I’ve since made some fabulous friends
And I am so grateful to have them
They’ve made this move a lot more fun
There will be other adventures after this one
And more after that
It’s just how the world works
What if we looked at our life, like a gift
Each day we open with surprise and delight
Or drudgery
We decide
The only thing we control is our mind
We choose to be offended
We choose to be grateful
We choose to be aggravated
We choose to be patient
We choose all of it
Everyday
All the time
I hope when you embark on something new
You look at it as a gift
Let life fill you with wonder
Being here is remarkable
We get this one glorious life
I hope you live it in awe
